The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITC Limited to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and market opportunities for startups across India. The partnership leverages ITC’s extensive expertise and market reach to complement DPIIT’s startup initiatives. Key focus areas include deploying startup solutions in digital Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), renewable energy integration, and energy storage systems.
DPIIT Joint Secretary Sanjiv highlighted the alignment of this collaboration with flagship government programs such as Startup India, Make in India, and AatmaNirbhar Bharat. “This initiative contributes to Vision 2047 by fostering sustainable growth through innovation-driven entrepreneurship,” he stated.
Anil Rajput, President of Corporate Affairs at ITC, remarked that the MoU would create mutual value, focusing on digital transformation and renewable energy for sustainable manufacturing.
The partnership aims to accelerate startup growth, technological advancements, and operational excellence while promoting inclusive and scalable solutions.
