Roshni Nadar Malhotra has become the third-richest Indian following the transfer of a 47% stake from her father, Shiv Nadar, in HCL Corporation and Vama Delhi. The move, part of succession planning, gives her majority control over HCL Corp and Vama, making her the largest shareholder in HCL Infosystems and HCLTech.
With the transfer, Malhotra gains voting rights over significant stakes in HCL Infosystems and HCLTech, solidifying her leadership in India’s IT sector. She has led HCLTech as chairperson since 2020, succeeding her father in the role.
