Chandigarh, July 5
The Dalai Lama has expressed his wish to continue serving humanity for another 30 to 40 years, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said on Saturday, following a meeting with the Tibetan spiritual leader in Dharamshala. Rijiju met Dalai Lama during the Long Life Offering Ceremony held at the Tsuglagkhang Temple in McLeod Ganj, ahead of His Holiness’s 90th birth anniversary.
“His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama gave blessings during the sacred Long Life Prayer ceremony and spoke about feeling the divine grace of Avalokiteshvara,” Rijiju said. “His Holiness mentioned about feeling the blessings of Avalokiteshvara & expressed his intention to continue serving people for another 30-40 years,” he wrote.
