Prime Minister Narendra Modi has held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the latest developments in the war in Ukraine, with both leaders vowing to strengthen their “Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership”. In a post on X, Prime Miniter Modi said he had a “very good and detailed conversation” with his “friend” Putin. “I thanked him for sharing the latest developments on Ukraine. We also reviewed the progress in our bilateral agenda, and reaffirmed our commitment to further deepen the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership,” he wrote. Prime Minister Modi said he looked forward to hosting President Putin in India later this year for the annual bilateral summit.
