Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who attended the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting in Delhi on Tuesday, said he was “happy to see the enthusiasm” for senior BJP leader CP Radhakrishnan’s candidature. He made the remarks in a post on X, formerly Twitter. The alliance is set to file the nomination papers at 11am on 20 August. All NDA Members of Parliament and floor leaders are expected to sign as proposers and seconders. Prime Minister Modi, along with senior leaders of the coalition, will be present during the nomination process to demonstrate united support behind the former BJP parliamentarian.
