Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his greetings on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, paying tribute to educators for their role in shaping the nation’s future. In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter), Modi praised teachers for their commitment and compassion, saying their dedication to nurturing young minds laid the foundation for “a stronger and brighter future.”
The Prime Minister also remembered the contributions of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former president, philosopher and teacher, whose birth anniversary is marked as Teachers’ Day in India. “Wishing everyone, particularly all hardworking teachers, a very happy Teachers’ Day,” the Prime Minister wrote. “We also remember the life and thoughts of Dr S. Radhakrishnan, a distinguished scholar and teacher, on his birth anniversary.”
