Sri Anandpur Sahib, November 26
The temporary Punjab Vidhan Sabha complex set up to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur will remain open to the public until November 29, the state government has announced. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said visitors can access the specially created Assembly premises at the Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial in Sri Anandpur Sahib over the next few days. The site was designated as the official precinct of the Punjab Legislative Assembly for its 10th special session, held on November 24.
It was the first time the Assembly convened a session outside its permanent building in Chandigarh, with lawmakers gathering in Sri Anandpur Sahib to honour Guru Tegh Bahadur’s sacrifice in defence of faith and freedom. Bains added that three tent cities, parking areas and a drone show arranged for the commemorative event would also remain open to the Sangat till November 29.
