Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid tribute to freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, saying their sacrifice for India remains deeply embedded in the nation’s collective memory.In a post on X, Modi said the country bows “in reverence to the brave sons of Bharat Mata” and remembered their martyrdom as a defining chapter in India’s freedom struggle.
He said Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev showed extraordinary courage at a young age and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to India’s independence.
The prime minister said the three revolutionaries remained undeterred by British colonial rule and embraced sacrifice with conviction, placing the nation above their own lives.
He added that their ideals of justice, patriotism and fearless resistance continue to inspire generations of Indians.
The tribute came as the country remembered the martyrs, who are widely regarded as icons of India’s anti-colonial movement.
