Chandigarh, March 24
The post-mortem examination of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, a Punjab State Warehousing Corporation official who died by suicide after allegedly accusing former minister Laljit Singh Bhullar of harassment, will be conducted in Amritsar on Tuesday, police said.
The autopsy will be carried out at the post-mortem house of the Government Medical College in Amritsar, a police official told reporters.
Police said Randhawa’s family had agreed to the examination after earlier seeking that it be conducted by a panel of doctors under official supervision.
According to the official, a board of doctors will conduct the post-mortem, which will be videographed and carried out under the supervision of the executive magistrate. Randhawa’s cremation is expected later in the day.The development comes a day after Bhullar was arrested from Mandi Gobindgarh on Monday in connection with the case.
Randhawa, the district manager of the Punjab State Warehousing Corporation in Amritsar, allegedly died after consuming poison early on Saturday.
