Senior Congress leader and Himachal Pradesh state incharge Rajeev Shukla defended Himachal Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh’s decision to mandate eateries to display owner names. Shukla explained that the move ensures only authorized individuals can operate shops. Besides it, the Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker has formed an all-party committee to regulate hawkers and issue licenses, he added. Shukla dismissed attempts to link this issue with Uttar Pradesh, calling the comparison unfounded.
