Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Russia on October 22 and 23 at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin to attend the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan, which Russia will chair. The summit, themed “Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security,” aims to provide a significant platform for leaders to address pressing global issues.
The Ministry of External Affairs on Friday said that the summit will present a valuable opportunity to evaluate the progress of initiatives launched by BRICS and explore potential areas for future collaboration. During his visit, Prime Minister Modi is also expected to engage in bilateral meetings with counterparts from BRICS member countries and other invited leaders in Kazan.
