Navjot Kaur Sidhu, the wife of Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, has received a ₹850 crore legal notice from the Chhattisgarh Civil Society (CCS) following her husband’s controversial claims about ‘traditional’ cancer treatments. According to reports, the CCS has raised concerns that such unverified statements are misleading the public, particularly cancer patients, and discouraging them from seeking proper medical treatment.
According to the news outlet Business Standard, Dr. Kuldeep Solanki, convener of CCS, criticized the claims, stating that they are endangering the health of patients by making them hesitant to continue allopathic treatments. He has given Kaur seven days to provide evidence to support the claims or face potential legal action, the news outlet said.
The CCS also demanded a public apology from Sidhu and asked Kaur to clarify her position on the matter. If she fails to provide the necessary medical documentation, the society has threatened further legal steps, urging her to hold a press conference to address the issue. Navjot Singh Sidhu and his wife’s response is not yet available. The story will be updated as soon as we receive their reaction.
