Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Kuwait on December 21-22 at the invitation of the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. This marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in over four decades, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed on Wednesday. During his visit, Modi will meet with Kuwaiti leaders and engage with the Indian community residing in the country. India and Kuwait share a long-standing relationship, strengthened by historical ties and robust economic and cultural connections. India remains one of Kuwait’s key trading partners, and the Indian diaspora is the largest expatriate group in the Gulf nation.
The visit is expected to further deepen the multifaceted relations between the two countries.
