Punjab’s Director General of Police (DGP), Gaurav Yadav, confirmed on Monday that the Batala Police had successfully solved the two grenade attack incidents targeting police establishments, marking the resolution of all such cases in the state. DGP Yadav revealed that five terror modules, linked to Pakistan-based masterminds, had been dismantled. Two of these were associated with the Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), while three were connected to Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). The terror modules had been directed by foreign handlers, aiming to destabilize peace in Punjab.
In a statement shared in the social media platform, Yadav said the operation had thwarted a significant conspiracy to disrupt the state’s security. “Punjab Police remain committed to safeguarding peace and harmony,” he emphasized. He also urged the youth of Punjab to stay vigilant and reject the false narratives propagated by criminal elements, warning of the devastating consequences of such exploitation.
