Amit Shah meets families of Pahalgam terror attack victims

Home Minister Amit Shah met survivors of the recent terror attack at  Pahalgam, in Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday, offering condolences and promising swift justice for the victims. During his visit, Amit Shah also met grieving families and laid wreaths on the coffins of the deceased at the Police Control Room in Srinagar.

Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, Amit Shah said: “With a heavy heart, paid last respects to the deceased of the Pahalgam terror attack. Bharat will not bend to terror. The culprits of this dastardly terror attack will not be spared.” In a subsequent post, he added: “Every Indian feels the pain of losing their loved ones in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. This sorrow cannot be expressed in words. I assure all these families and the entire nation that these terrorists who killed innocent people will not be spared at all.”

Twenty-eight people were killed and several others injured in a brutal terrorist attack that targeted a group of tourists in the scenic town of Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The assault occurred on Tuesday, when armed terrorists opened fire on tourists trekking through a mountainous area accessible only by foot or horseback.
