Anindita Mitra assumed charge as Secretary Cooperation and Managing Director of The Punjab State Co-operative Bank on Monday. A 2007 batch IAS officer, Mitra has previously served as DC of SBS Nagar and Hoshiarpur, Director of Food and Civil Supplies, Director of Public Relations, and Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh.
After taking office charge, Mitra emphasized her commitment to strengthening the cooperative movement in the state. She highlighted the significant potential of the cooperative sector to benefit all sections of society, particularly farmers and the weaker sections. Mitra assured that no effort will be spared in achieving this goal under the visionary leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
