The Ajay Devgn and Tabu-starrer romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, directed by Neeraj Panday, is facing a grim box office debut. Set to release alongside Janhvi Kapoor’s Ulajh, both films are predicted to perform poorly. Releasing two weeks before Stree 2 and a week after Deadpool & Wolverine‘s strong opening, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has sold fewer than 1,000 tickets across major theatre chains a day before its release, according to Bollywood Hungama report.
Originally scheduled to debut a week after Kalki 2898 AD, it was delayed to avoid being overshadowed. The movie’s dismal ticket sales could send shockwaves through an industry already struggling with high-profile flops. Despite Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s recent successes with films like Shaitaan and Crew, and past hits like Drishyam 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, this latest venture is tracking behind even the poorly received Sarfira.
