It has been over a decade since Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD) captured the hearts of audiences with its blend of friendship, adventure, and self-discovery. Now, filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has sparked fresh excitement by revealing a new project, Zindagi Ko Yas Bol, which many believe could be the spiritual successor to the 2011 classic ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'(ZNMD).
In a playful one-minute, 11-second video shared on his social media accounts, Akhtar welcomes Abhay Deol to Yes Island in Abu Dhabi. The duo then meets Hrithik Roshan, who is waiting outside in a vintage car. Echoing the charm of ZNMD, the trio embarks on a journey where the mantra is simple: say “yes” to everything. The video also includes a light-hearted callback as Roshan tosses Akhtar’s phone—much like his character did in the original film.
Recently, Roshan shared a photo on Instagram with Akhtar and Deol, posing in front of a classic car reminiscent of the road trip vehicle from ZNMD. “It took time, but we finally said YAS,” Roshan captioned, adding the hashtag #ZindagiKoYasBol. The post has fueled speculation about the long-awaited collaboration among the trio.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Farhan Akhtar, ZNMD was released on July 15, 2011, and became an iconic comedy-drama that still resonates with fans today. While official details about Zindagi Ko Yas Bol remain under wraps, the buzz around a potential sequel or related project is unmistakable.
