The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has extended the time to deliver its verdict on Vinesh Phogat’s appeal, challenging her disqualification for being 100 grams overweight. The decision is expected by 9:30 PM IST on Saturday, as reported by the news outlet The Tribune.
Phogat, who was replaced by Cuban wrestler Yusneylis Guzman Lopez in the finals, is seeking a joint-silver medal after being disqualified from the competition. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) remains hopeful of a favorable outcome.
