The Congress party on Wednesday filed a police complaint against Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu for allegedly calling Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi the “number one terrorist of the country.” The complaint was lodged at Tughlak Road Police Station in Delhi, by Congress treasurer Ajay Maken. A copy of the complaint has been submitted to the Election Commission of India.
The complaint also names three other political leaders include BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah, Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad, and Uttar Pradesh minister Raghuraj Singh. A Maken stated that Bittu’s remarks, made on September 15, were intended to provoke public outrage and incite violence against Gandhi. The statement was widely circulated on TV and social media, according to the complaint.
