Chandigarh, April 3
A fire broke out early Friday in the Kundli Industrial Area of Haryana’s Sonipat district, engulfing four manufacturing units. Authorities confirmed that no casualties were reported.
The blaze reportedly began in one unit before spreading to three neighboring units. Multiple fire tenders were deployed, and it took several hours to bring the flames under control.
“Four units were engulfed in the flames, and it took many hours for the fire tenders to bring it under control,” said Inspector Sethi Malik, SHO of Kundli Police Station, adding that no one was injured.
The units manufacture home appliances, including coolers and fans. Officials suspect an electrical short circuit may have triggered the fire, though the exact cause will be determined following an investigation.
