Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget for the eighth consecutive time on Saturday, highlighting ten broad development areas focused on the poor, youth, farmers, and women.
“Our economy remains the fastest-growing among major global economies,” Sitharaman said, adding that India’s development record and structural reforms over the past decade have drawn global attention. She emphasized the next five years as an opportunity to achieve “Sabka Vikas” through balanced regional growth.
