The Haryana have registered a case against four people, including former Punjab Director General of Police Mohammad Mustafa, in connection with the mysterious death of his son Aqil Akhter.
The FIR was lodged at the Mata Mansa Devi police station. Deputy Commissioner of Police Srishti Gupta said a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the case from all angles.
The Police will examine Akhtar’s mobile phone and social media activity, including video footage, to trace events leading up to his death. Officials said the exact cause of death will be determined after the viscera report is received.
Police have assured a thorough investigation into all possible aspects of the case.
