From the heart of Punjab, hand-knitted kaftans, elegant suits and delicate dupattas are telling stories of skill and tradition at the CII Chandigarh Fair 2025. At the Lifestyle and Haute Contour Expo, these creations share space with Baluchari sari and Dokra art from Bengal, handmade crochet pieces, and naturally dyed Pashmina shawls from Ladakh — a dazzling showcase of India’s timeless craftsmanship.

The Haute Contour section is more than a style destination; it’s a tribute to empowerment and sustainability. Designers and artisans are presenting collections inspired by family traditions, community revival and conscious fashion. “The CII Chandigarh Fair has helped us reach people who truly value authentic, handcrafted work,” said designer Sarabjit Kaur, echoing the sentiments of many creators.

As the festive season builds momentum with Diwali around the corner, stalls featuring hand-painted terracotta diyas and intricately designed lampshades in vibrant fabrics and metallic finishes are attracting crowds, each piece turning light into an art form.

The home décor section adds another layer of charm, with blue pottery from Jaipur standing out for its age-old motifs and intricate detailing. Exquisite handcrafted crockery — painted plates, bowls and serving dishes — blends functionality with traditional elegance.
