Chandigarh, October 4
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Saturday appointed senior IAS officer H Rajesh Prasad as the new Chief Secretary of Chandigarh. Prasad, a 1995-batch IAS officer from the AGMUT cadre, was earlier posted in Jammu and Kashmir. His appointment takes effect immediately, according to an order issued by the Home Ministry. A copy of the order was circulated to the Chief Secretaries and Advisors of Union Territories, including Chandigarh, Delhi, Mizoram, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Goa, Ladakh, and Lakshadweep.
