The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday released its second list of nine candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, following its first list of 20 candidates on Monday. In its first list, AAP fielded candidates in 11 constituencies where Congress had already declared its nominees. With this second list, AAP now has 29 candidates out of 90. The prominent candidates include Krishan Bajaj for Thanesar, Hawa Singh for Indri, and Mukhtiyar Singh Bazigar for Ratia. Prof. Chhatarpal Singh, a recent BJP defector, has been given the Barwala seat.
The AAP released the second list after the party’s state president declared on Monday that they could no longer wait for an alliance with Congress. Other parties, including BJP and Congress, have announced 67 and 41 candidates, respectively. Haryana’s assembly elections are set for October 5, with results on October 8. The last dates for filing the nomination for election is September 12.
