Chandigarh, April 14
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday said the state government remains fully committed to upholding and advancing the ideals of B R Ambedkar, while emphasizing inclusive development and welfare for all sections of society.
Addressing a gathering after flagging off a marathon in Panchkula to mark Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, Saini said the BJP government has launched several schemes aimed at ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society in line with the principle of Antyodaya. He said the government believes that the overall development of the state and the nation is not possible unless every section of society is empowered.
“We are continuously formulating policies designed to uplift the weaker sections of society,” he said, adding that education, awareness, and unity are key to bringing positive change. He also noted that Ambedkar’s ideas and struggles continue to inspire efforts towards equality, justice, and social reform.
Interacting with the youth, Saini said they are the future of the nation and bear the responsibility of building an empowered and egalitarian society.
Several leaders were present at the event, including Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli, minister Krishan Kumari Bedi, Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma, former Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, and Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma.
The chief minister reiterated that the government will continue to work towards policies that promote equality of opportunity and social justice, in line with Ambedkar’s vision.
