Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has expressed shock and grief over a blast in an LPG tanker in Hoshiarpur district that left two people dead and 21 injured. The explosion occurred in Mandiala village on Saturday. Mann extended condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
In a statement, the Chief Minister announced financial aid of ₹2 lakh each for the families of the deceased. He said he was in constant touch with district officials to monitor the situation and directed the administration to provide free medical treatment to the injured. “This is an irreparable loss,” Mann said, adding that the government stood with the affected families in their hour of grief.
