The Income Tax Department has reiterated its commitment to support the Election Commission of India in eliminating the influence of black money in the Delhi Legislative Assembly Elections, 2025. In a bid to maintain fair elections, the Directorate of Income Tax (Investigation), Delhi, has set up multiple initiatives to monitor the movement of unaccounted cash, bullion, and other valuables that could be used for electoral purposes within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.
As part of these measures, a 24/7 Control Room has been established at the Civic Centre in New Delhi. Additionally, a toll-free number has been made available for residents to report any suspicious activity related to the distribution of cash, bullion, and precious metals during the Model Code of Conduct period.

Residents can report anonymously, with no requirement to disclose personal information. The key is to provide credible and actionable information.
The Control Room will remain operational from the announcement of the Delhi Legislative Assembly Elections, 2025, until their conclusion, ensuring continuous vigilance in the spirit of free and fair elections.
