Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday condemned the deportation of 104 Indian nationals from the US, calling it “deeply regrettable” and “a matter of great shame” that American authorities sent the individuals back in handcuffs and shackles. Mann expressed his dismay over the situation, highlighting the emotional and financial toll on the deported citizens. He further criticized the Haryana government for transporting them in police vans, describing it as “rubbing salt on the wounds” of those already suffering.
