Apple enthusiasts in India flocked to the tech giant’s stores ahead of the iPhone 16 series release, with crowds gathering outside Apple’s official outlets in Delhi and Mumbai before the stores opened, the news outlet India Today reported. The sale of the new iPhone models kicked off both online and offline, but eager customers preferred to avoid delivery waits by lining up early.
Hundreds of fans were seen outside Apple’s stores at Saket in Delhi and Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai, eager to get their hands on the latest models. Videos shared online show large crowds rushing toward the Mumbai store. Similar scenes unfolded at Delhi’s Select Citywalk, with long queues forming before the official opening.
According to Business Today, the iPhone 16 series consists of four models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The Pro versions feature larger displays, improved performance, and advanced camera systems.
