Actress and politician Kangna Ranaut has agreed to make the cuts in her film ‘Emergency’ suggested by the Central Board of Film Certification, CBFC’s Revising Committee, the CBFC informed the Bombay High Court on Monday. The CBFC, made the submission before a Bench comprising Justices BP Colabawalla and Firdosh Pooniwalla, the news outlet The Bar and Bench reported. The case will come for hearing on Thursday.
The Court was hearing a petition filed by Zee Studios, the co-producers of the film, seeking the release of the film’s censor certificate. The plea was submitted following a controversy over allegations that the film misrepresents the Sikh community, according to the news outlet.
