India’s Lakshya Sen stormed into the pre-quarterfinals of men’s singles badminton at the Paris Olympics. The Indian shuttler was in top form, stunning World No. 4 and reigning All-England champion Jonatan Christie in a Group L match in Paris on Wednesday.
“In a battle between two of the most pacey players on the tour, Lakshya’s aggressive approach paid off. The Indian star turned it around, taking an 11-10 in the mid-game interval,” India Today reported. Lakshya Sen is now set to face his compatriot, HS Prannoy, in the pre-quarterfinals of the Paris Olympics.
