Lakshya Sen’s remarkable debut at the Olympics took another thrilling turn as the Indian shuttler triumphed over 12th seed Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei in the quarterfinals of the Men’s Singles badminton event on Friday.
“In a thriller filled with high-octane rallies, Sen would ultimately triumph against Chou Tien Chen, taking it to three games of 19-21, 21-15, 21-12”, reported News 18.
This victory marks a significant milestone, as Sen becomes the first Indian male shuttler to reach the semifinals of the Men’s Badminton event in Olympic history.
