In line with the government’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, the missiles will feature predominantly indigenous components under the ‘Buy (Indian)’ category. The contract is expected to generate around 3.5 lakh mandays of employment in the defense sector, including jobs in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
