Starting in July, Asda’s toothpaste and mouthwash bottles will feature NHS advice on recognizing mouth cancer symptoms. This partnership aims to encourage early detection and prompt medical consultations.
“Early detection is key in fighting mouth cancers,” said Mahesh Kumar, president of the Mouth Cancer Foundation, news outlet The Tribune reported.
Symptoms include ulcers lasting over three weeks, persistent sore throats, and lumps in the mouth or neck. Asda’s initiative, launched on World Head and Neck Cancer Day, also promotes the HPV vaccine to reduce cancer risks, the news outlet report said.
