No Peace, No Talks with Pakistan: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday strongly criticized the Congress and National Conference’s manifesto stating that these two parties wanting to revert to old systems. These parties engage in talks with Pakistan, reiterating that no dialogue would occur until peace is achieved. Shah emphasized that the 10 years of the Modi government have reduced terrorism in the region by 70%, contrasting this with the opposition’s desire to push Jammu and Kashmir into a cycle of terrorism.

He further targeted Rahul Gandhi, calling his promise of restoring statehood deceptive, clarifying that only the central government has the authority to do so. Shah reassured the crowd that statehood would be restored after the elections, as declared in Parliament.

He hailed the upcoming election as historic, noting that for the first time since independence, voters in Jammu and Kashmir will cast their votes under the Tricolor, not separate flags. Shah emphasized that for the first time, Jammu and Kashmir would vote under the Constitution of India, with the same Prime Minister as the rest of the country—PM Modi. He urged BJP booth workers to remind voters of the changes brought to the region under Modi’s leadership.
