New Delhi, December 17
The Union Education Ministry announced on Tuesday that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will cease conducting recruitment exams from 2025, shifting its focus exclusively to entrance exams for higher education. While addressing press conference, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the NTA will no longer oversee recruitment tests, following a decision to implement examination reforms. The move comes after a series of controversies, including the alleged leak of the NEET medical entrance exam and the cancellation of various other exams due to suspected leaks and technical issues. The decision is based on recommendations from a high-level panel established earlier this year to address these challenges and improve the integrity of the examination process.
