The hunger strike by vocational teachers in Sector 5 has reached a critical point, with two teachers being hospitalized after falling ill. Rasna, the Bhiwani district president of the Vocational Teachers’ Association, and Poonam Devi from Jhajjar, were admitted to Sector 6 Civil Hospital following three days of fasting. According to the news outlet of The Tribune. The teachers, who have been on strike for 52 days, are demanding job regularization and salary increases. Their protest began with a march towards the Chief Minister’s residence on June 24, which led to the detention of their leaders and dispersal of the group. Despite multiple meetings with government officials, the union, led by Anoop Dhillon, reports no progress.
