Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday held talks with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty, welcoming the growing strength of India–Egypt ties and commending Cairo’s efforts in mediating the Gaza Peace Agreement. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over progress in key areas of cooperation, including trade, technology, energy, defence and cultural exchanges. He extended warm congratulations to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi for his nation’s “crucial role” in the peace efforts and voiced optimism that the agreement would pave the way for lasting stability in the region.
Foreign Minister Abdelatty briefed Modi on the inaugural India-Egypt Strategic Dialogue, which is being held during his visit to New Delhi. The discussions aim to deepen bilateral cooperation and strengthen strategic ties between the two countries.
