Telugu actor Allu Arjun was questioned for four hours by Hyderabad Police on Tuesday regarding a stampede that resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rise.The police are investigating the incident to determine the responsibilities of the organisers and the circumstances that led to the tragic stampede.
Incidentally, as the questioning took place the CCTV footage from the theatre was broadcast on various news channels, revealing chaotic scenes of a crowd forcing its way into the venue. Despite the efforts of security staff to maintain order, the situation spiraled out of control. The footage showed a man with a wooden stick attempting to stop the surging crowd, but he was eventually overpowered. Police are investigating the incident, focusing on crowd management lapses and the responsibilities of the event organisers.
