Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan turned from a substitute fielder in the India-Bangladesh Test Series to an on-field player in the Irani Cup, smashing a remarkable double century. While he was initially selected for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, Sarfaraz was released from the squad on the fourth day of the second Test.
The 26-year-old cricketer had a monumental innings, scoring 221 not out, and became the 4th youngest player to score a double century in the Irani Cup. Sarfaraz batted with an impressive strike rate of 80.74, hammering 25 fours and 4 sixes.
