Shimla, September 19
A massive landslide occurred near St. Edward School in Himland of Shimla, on Friday morning, prompting the school administration to shut the institution for two days as a safety measure. Public Works Department (PWD) Executive Engineer Praveen Verma said a private building in the vicinity was put at risk and has been evacuated. Traffic movement in the affected area has been diverted to ensure safety, and a PWD team is clearing debris at the site.
