Six people were killed and 43 others injured when a bus driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle in Mumbai’s Kurla (West) area late Monday night. The accident occurred around 9:30 pm and CCTV footage of the crash, which has gone viral, suggests the driver lost control. The exact cause of the incident is under investigation. Expressing grief , Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis offered condolences to the victims’ families and announced financial assistance of ₹5 lakh for the next of kin of the deceased. The chief minister also directed the Mumbai Municipal Corporation and BEST to cover the medical expenses of the injured.
