The BJP has left three electoral seats undecided for Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who may contest from either the Naraingarh, Ladwa, or Karnal constituencies. After two days of discussions, the state BJP committee released a list of 90 potential candidates for the assembly seats. However, the final decision on these three crucial seats will be made by the party’s high command, marking a significant step in the election preparations, according to media reports.
The BJP’s candidate list includes current MLAs, ministers, former MPs, and candidates who lost in the recent Lok Sabha elections. While some prominent names are expected to secure spots, it is likely that 8-10 current MLAs will not be on the list. For each seat, the committee has shortlisted 3-5 potential candidates, with the final decisions to be made by central party leaders, the news outlet The Tribune reported.
