Chandigarh, September 7
In a major breakthrough in the fight against organised crime, the Amritsar Police arrested two key accused, Dharmpreet Singh alias Dharma and Gurjant Singh alias Janta, and exposed their links to the USA-based network of Goldy Brar, said Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav in a post on X (formerly Twitter). The arrests highlight the complex connections between individuals involved in organized crime and the illegal possession and distribution of firearms. An FIR has been registered, and investigations are underway to dismantle the illegal arms cartel. The police also recovered one pistol and five live cartridges from the accused.
