Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday announced that he will address the Wayanad tragedy with both the Union and state governments, highlighting the need for a unique and urgent response. During a media interaction after his visit to the affected area, Rahul noted that Kerala has never experienced such a devastating tragedy in a single location as it has in Wayanad this time.
“I will raise this issue with both the Union and State Governments, as this tragedy demands a unique and urgent response. Our immediate focus is on rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts,” he said in his post on X formerly known as Twitter. “The Congress family is committed to building over 100 houses here. We are dedicated to ensuring that all possible assistance is provided to our brothers and sisters in this time of need,” he further said.
