Chandigarh, March 31
Maninderjit Singh Bedi has assumed office as the Advocate General (AG) of Punjab at the Punjab and Haryana High Court. He becomes the fourth AG under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in three years. Before this appointment, Bedi served as the Additional Advocate General of Punjab. A law graduate from Punjabi University, Patiala, he has also held the role of Administrator General and Official Trustee for the Punjab government.
After taking charge, Bedi thanked Chief Minister Mann for the opportunity and pledged to serve with dedication. He emphasized his commitment to representing Punjab’s legal interests effectively.
