Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav visited Jalandhar on Tuesday to review the region’s law and order situation. During his visit, Yadav held a comprehensive meeting with officers and Station House Officers (SHOs) from the Jalandhar Commissionerate, as well as the districts of Jalandhar Rural, Hoshiarpur, SBS Nagar, and Kapurthala. Yadav reaffirmed that combating counter-terrorism, organized crime, drug trafficking, and street crime remain the top priorities for the police. He stressed the importance of effective policing and called for decisive action against offenders to maintain peace and stability in the region.
“Our commitment to enhancing citizen engagement is key to strengthening trust and cooperation within the community,” said Yadav. He added that the Punjab Police’s dedication to safeguarding citizens and creating a safer, stronger Punjab remains steadfast.
