Malout( Punjab), October 6
Punjab Cabinet Minister for Social Security, Women and Child Development, Dr. Baljit Kaur, on Monday inaugurated a series of development projects worth ₹3.31 crore across the Malout constituency. The projects, located in the villages of Jandwala, Thehri, and Fakarsar, aim to strengthen local infrastructure and improve civic amenities in rural areas.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr Kaur said that when governance is guided by sincerity and commitment, “no task faces obstacles and all projects are completed efficiently.” She added that the Punjab Government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is working tirelessly for the state’s holistic progress and has achieved “more in its current tenure than many previous administrations.”
The minister urged residents to monitor development works in their areas and report any irregularities directly to the authorities. She said the government has set “a new benchmark in transparent governance” and continues to accelerate development initiatives across Punjab.
During her visit, Dr. Kaur also met with local villagers, heard their grievances, and directed officials to resolve several issues on the spot.
Present at the event were Sarpanch Nirmal Singh (Jandwala), Sarpanch Manpreet Kaur (Thehri), Sarpanch Manpreet Singh Dhillon (Fakarsar), officials from various departments, and Panchayat members.
